Workshops take place on 25/26 July or 29/30 August with optional camping on our nearly wild campsite. The price is £35 per person. You will bring your bisqued forms and any specific combustibles you require on the Saturday and after campers have set up we will apply the combustibles and aluminium foil saggars. After a bit of a safety brief you will put the saggars in the fire pits and spend the next 4 hours feeding the fire pits. Once the fires have been fed the campers can begin cooking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted. Non campers may stay until 9.30pm but must leave before the security gates shut at 10pm. The fire pits will cool over night and on the Sunday morning we will retrieve the forms at 9am. Gates will reopen at 8.30am for non campers to return. The aluminium foil should have vaporized and your combustibles should have left a myriad of colours. As all potters are very aware, the outcomes can not be guaranteed and are in the lap of the kiln gods. If you have no forms we will be running workshops to produce simple coil or pinch pot forms prior to the workshop and we will bisque fire them for you to be available on your chosen workshop date. This workshop is not suitable for children or pets.

For those who wish to attend but need to make a pot beforehand we have a making session, price £10 per person, before each firing session. 20th June 1000 - 1300 to have a pot made an ready to pit fire at the July workshop and 8th August 1000 - 1300 to have a pot ready to pit fire at the August workshop.
